Jesus washing His disciples' feet

Jesus washing His disciples' feet

📖 John13:13

Genre: Adventure Mood: Calm Age: kid Level: medium Language: english

Jesus and His twelve disciples gather around a long wooden table in an upper room for the Passover meal. Oil lamps cast a warm glow as they share bread and wine in a peaceful atmosphere.

Jesus quietly rises from the table, removes His outer robe, wraps a linen towel around His waist, and pours water into a clay basin. The disciples watch in surprise.

Jesus kneels before His disciples one by one, gently washing their dusty feet with water and drying them with the towel. The room is silent with awe.

Peter pulls his feet back in disbelief and says, "Lord, are You going to wash my feet?" Jesus gently speaks with him, and Peter finally allows Him to continue.

After washing their feet, Jesus sits down and says, "You call me Teacher and Lord, and rightly so, for that is what I am." The disciples listen attentively as He teaches them the meaning of true humility and servant leadership.

Jesus tells His disciples that if their Lord and Teacher has washed their feet, they also should wash one another's feet. The disciples reflect deeply on His words.

The disciples leave the upper room together, inspired by Jesus' example of humble service. They walk through the quiet streets of Jerusalem under the evening sky, understanding that greatness comes through serving others.
